How to Submit Your Design
For Creative Printing and Laser Engraving, customers may choose one of three options:
1. Design Online
Use our online product designer to create your design directly on the product.
This option ensures correct sizing and placement automatically.
2. Upload Your Own Design
Upload a completed design file that meets the file requirements listed below.
3. Design Assistance
Select Design Assistance at checkout and let us prepare a professional, production-ready layout for you.
Accepted File Types (Creative Printing & Laser Engraving)
Customers may upload only the following file formats depending on the product:
JPEG (.jpg / .jpeg)
PNG (.png)
SVG (.svg)
- PDF (.pdf)
Other file types ( AI, EPS, etc.) are not accepted for upload at this time.
Design Assistance Options
If your file needs adjustment or you’d prefer professional help, choose one of the following services:
Basic Setup — $10
Ideal if you already have a finished design file but need it adjusted for production.
Resize and position your artwork to fit the product correctly
Includes 1 round of edits for adjustments
Standard Layout — $20
Perfect if you have the design elements but need help putting them together.
Arrange your provided images, text, and concept into a balanced, professional layout
Includes 2 revisions to fine-tune the design
Full Custom Design — $49
Recommended if you want us to handle everything from start to finish.
Complete custom design based on your concept or vision
Includes up to 3 revisions to ensure the final result meets your expectations
File Guidelines by Service Type
Creative Printing
Applies to:
Personalized Sublimation Mugs & Tumblers
Custom Invitations
Window & Door Lettering (Cut Vinyl)
Custom Vinyl Stickers
File Requirements
Artwork must be submitted at final print size
Raster images (JPEG/PNG) should be high resolution (300 DPI recommended)
Avoid screenshots or low-resolution images
Colors may vary slightly due to printing and material processes
For vinyl lettering and stickers:
Solid, clean artwork is best
Avoid extremely fine details
Laser Engraving
Applies to:
Solid Wood Plaques & Signs
Bamboo Cutting Boards
Slate Coasters & Boards
Leather Keychains & Luggage Tags
Powder-Coated Tumblers
File Requirements
Black artwork on a transparent or white background is recommended
No gradients, shading, or photographic images
Clean lines and strong contrast engrave best
Text should be clear and legible at final size
Fine details may not engrave cleanly depending on material
3D Printing Services
PrecisionMade DFW offers production of 3D printed parts from customer-provided, print-ready files.
Applies to:
Functional parts
Decorative items
Branded or custom objects
Accepted Files
STL
STEP
Or a link to a public 3D model (e.g., Thingiverse, Printables)
Important Notes
Files must be fully print-ready
No custom 3D modeling or design services are offered at this time
If you don’t have a 3D printable file, we can provide guidance in selecting a file from publicly available 3D model repositories.
We do not modify geometry beyond basic print preparation
Proofing & Production
Orders are produced exactly as approved
Proofs are provided when applicable or when Design Assistance is selected
Customer approval is required before production begins
Once approved, changes may require additional fees
Common Issues That Can Cause Delays
Low-resolution images
Incorrect sizing or proportions
Designs with fine details not suitable for engraving or cutting
Files not optimized for the selected product
